Do you suffer from Ego repulsion? Well, if so, this is the right article for you to read. Learn how to avoid ditching your old ego, just because it is the latest trend in spiritual fashion.
I imagine that you already came across some of the following statements: “no ego”, “lose your ego”, “ego is a disease”, “let go of the ego”, “ego vs soul” and “ego bad, soul good”. Perhaps you heard that from your own mouth or from some spiritual friend of yours.
The truth is that the Ego has had a bad press throughout the times. Many religious paths regard it as something less noble, something to be discarded or even annihilated. You can see this perspective from Buddhists to Christians. But I ask: is Ego actually that bad? Let’s have a closer look.
Rejecting the Ego
The problem of rejecting the Ego is like rejecting a computer because of the bad programs that are installed on it. You don’t need to throw away the computer, you just need to change the software. It is a software upgrade that is in order. So, the solution is to upgrade your mind’s software, and not to ditch your Ego.
The Ego is like that annoying relative that we endure because at heart we are nice people, and most of all we really need the Ego to function in our daily lives on planet earth.
The Ego is built in on our “motherboard”, it’s part of our makeup.
To reject the Ego is rejecting a part of ourselves, a bit similar to perform mind amputation just because it’s trendy or is supposed to make us feel good. What happens in reality when we reject the Ego, is that we are fueling internal dissent and igniting discord in our psyche. What is so good in not liking or hating parts of ourselves? Indulging in spiritual sadism are we?
The bottom line, is that it is difficult, if not impossible to be whole if we are not in accord with the parts of ourselves, Ego included. By rejecting the Ego you are thwarting your path to wholeness.
The problem, in my perspective, is not the Ego but the level at which is operating. The Ego is like software, like an operating system. Some people are just happy to run Ego 1.0 and refuse to upgrade. Some others are happy to upgrade and run Ego 2.0 or higher.
If you are open to upgrade your Ego 1.0 to Ego 2.0 you can incorporate functions like self aware meditation, non-duality plugins, truth browser, broadband community living, anti MSM (main stream media) firewall and have access to transpersonal backup. It is difficult for the ones running Ego 1.0 to see the advantages of an upgrade, as they are so used to running that system and most are afraid of the challenges of upgrading (the cognitive dissonance of upgrading).
Only when they get existential viruses, are infected by MSM trojans, or have frequent life crashes, only then they start to think about upgrading.
Ego 1.0 Customer Service
In the past, when people willingly wanted to upgrade Ego 1.0 they had two choices, either go directly to the manufacturer, God’s customer service, or through a local representative, aka priest, monk or guru. The first choice, seemed preferable but entailed lots of complaints as God’s call centre was frequently offline and most calls were not getting answered.
On the other hand, the local representatives were in general quite responsive and open to help, but not up to date with the latest developments in human consciousness plugins.
Today, many people are choosing to take the upgrade into their own hands and do some mind DIY, and there are plenty of different versions to choose from: new age, pagan, astrology, ascension, shamanism, psychedelics , newborn christians, buddhism, tantra….
Not all upgrade versions are equal. Choose wisely or you will be in deep trouble. Question everything: who is behind the code, is it open source, does it gives you freedom, and most important, can it be validate and tested in real life situations?
Ask for a Demo
Don’t forget, it is very important that you ask for a demo before upgrading. Test it for a while, see if it fits you needs and workflow. Don’t forget to ask for referrals, visit the user’s forum and look for comments and reviews form other people. Some, like the buddhist, comes with reincarnation included or eternal salvation for the christian option. If you are a hippy you should checkout the neo paganism, psychedelics and tantra options, they are in high demand these days.
Besides the option you are going to choose, never, I say never forget to do a backup before upgrading. It is vital to have a backup of some sort if something goes wrong during the upgrade.
So, don’t sell everything right away, don’t sign the divorce papers and leave your day job.
To Upgrade or Not to Upgrade
One of the main characteristic of people that didn’t upgrade is that they get recurring Main Stream Media virus infections, to which they are completely unaware of. They will tell you that their system is ok but, you know when you run the Wikileaks Anti Virus in their system, you will find lots of bugs, bad data, broken links and corrupt sectors in their mind’s hard drive.
So, the bottom line is, you need the Ego’s operating system to run the hardware called, Body. As long as you are in possession of Body, you will need an Ego to run it.
My advice is for you to choose an Ego 2.0 or higher, with anti MSM firewall, wisdom database built in, free experiential spirituality, and open source truth browser. One of the big advantages, is that Ego 2.0 easily interfaces with most other Egos, even older versions.
